We practice every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Drop in! We meet in Fredericton's Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church! Drop ins are welcome any time! See if barbershop style is for you!

Why Sing With Us?

First, because it's lots of fun. We really enjoy ourselves when we're singing, whether in a rehearsal, or for a performance.

Requirements

Can you sing "Happy Birthday"? If you can, then you can sing with us!

Usually, the first question we get asked is: "Must I be able to read music?" The answer: No! We CAN help you learn if you wish.

The members of the chorus range from having a very limited ability to read music...they can read the words...through being able to generally pick out the notes.

Regardless of your skill level you’ll have the support of the entire group. We provide learning tracks to help teach you your part by repetition

Through our weekly rehearsals we have all become better singers through posture, tone and breathing exercises.

Why Not Try?

The very best way to find out whether you would enjoy singing with us is to simply try it! You should plan to come to three to four regular rehearsals. Even If you're not ready to sing, feel free to stop in any time to listen in!

Membership Dues

If you decide that the group is for you, membership dues are $5 a meeting ($20 a month). This fee allows us to pay for our practise space, our director and the sheet music and learning tracks we use for our practising.

Cash, e-transfer, or cheque made out to River Valley Chorus are acceptable. Fees can be paid to our V.P. of Membership: Josh Smallwood.
